Feedy Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the Feedy mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1) Information We Collect

We collect information you provide, information collected automatically, and (in employer programs) limited information from your employer. Some information you provide may relate to other people (e.g., family members, friends, at-home chefs/cooks). If you provide someone else's information, you represent that you have the right to share it with us for the purposes described in this Policy.

A. Information you provide

Account details

Name, email address, phone number (if used), login credentials (password or OTP).

Profile details

Age (or age range), gender (optional), height/weight (optional). Dietary preferences, cuisine preferences, allergies/intolerances, food exclusions. Lifestyle inputs such as activity level, training schedule, sleep schedule (optional), and goals (fat loss/body recomposition/muscle gain).

Health & nutrition information (potentially sensitive)

Conditions you choose to disclose (e.g., diabetes, PCOS), lab values you enter, medications you note, symptoms, and other health-related inputs.

Meal planning, targets, and logs

• Meal plans, meal schedules, recipe selections, meal replacements, favorites, and feedback.
• Calorie targets (e.g., daily calorie goals).
• Macronutrient targets (e.g., protein, carbs, fat, fiber, sugar).
• Micronutrient targets (e.g., iron, vitamin D, calcium, sodium, potassium, B12, folate, etc.), including target ranges if you set them.
• Meal logs and adherence signals (if you use tracking features).

Grocery lists and ingredients

Grocery/shopping lists created by you or generated through the Services, including ingredient lists, quantities, substitutions, pantry notes, and preferences you add (e.g., brands).

Invited collaborators (friends/family)

If you invite someone to view or help manage meal planning or preparation, we may collect:

• Contact information you provide about them (e.g., name, phone number, email address), relationship label (e.g., spouse, parent, friend), and invitation status.
• Collaboration settings (what you share with them), permissions, and activity logs.
• If the invited person creates an account or uses Feedy, we may collect information directly from them as described in this Policy.

At-home chef / cook information (optional)

If you add an at-home chef/cook to coordinate meal preparation, we may collect their name, phone number, email, relationship label (e.g., "home chef", "cook", "meal prep service"), availability notes, and preparation instructions you provide.

Family member profiles (optional)

If you create profiles for family members (e.g., child, spouse, parent), we may collect similar categories of information for them as for you, such as:

• Profile details (name/nickname, age/age range, gender optional, height/weight optional),
• Dietary preferences and restrictions, allergies/intolerances, food exclusions,
• Lifestyle inputs and goals,
• Health & nutrition information you choose to provide,
• Calorie, macro, and micronutrient targets,
• Meal plans/logs and grocery lists associated with their profile.

Support communications

Messages to customer support, feedback, surveys, and responses.

You can choose not to provide certain information. Some features (such as allergy safety checks, condition-specific filtering, or targets-based planning) may be limited without it.

B. Information collected automatically

• Device and app information: device type, operating system version, app version, language, timezone, device identifiers (as permitted).
• Usage and diagnostics: feature usage, session duration, screens/events, crash reports, performance logs, and debugging data.
• Approximate location: inferred from IP address (e.g., to set language/timezone or show region-specific options).
• Precise location (optional): only if you enable location permission for location-based features (if available).

C. Information from employer programs (where applicable)

If your employer offers Feedy as a wellness benefit, we may receive limited information such as:

• Work email and/or employee identifier (to provision access),
• Company/organization name, and
• Eligibility status (e.g., "active employee" / program eligibility window).

We do not require your employer to provide health information for you to use Feedy.

2) How We Use Your Information

We use information to:

• Provide and personalize the Services: generate meal plans, recipes, and recommendations aligned to your preferences, restrictions, and goals.
• Set and apply targets: use your calorie, macro, and micronutrient targets (and related constraints) to shape recommendations, meal plans, and grocery lists.
• Generate and manage grocery lists: create and maintain grocery/shopping lists, ingredient quantities, substitutions, and preparation instructions based on meal plans and preferences.
• Enable collaboration (if you choose): share meal plans, grocery lists, recipes, and instructions with invited friends/family and/or at-home chefs/cooks; manage permissions and access logs.
• Deliver employer program access: verify eligibility, provision accounts, manage enrollment, and provide support related to employer access.
• Communicate with you: send service messages (e.g., reminders if enabled), security alerts, and support responses. Marketing messages are sent only where allowed and with opt-out options.
• Improve and maintain the Services: product analytics, debugging, quality assurance, feature development, and performance monitoring.
• Security and integrity: protect against fraud, misuse, unauthorized access, and violations of our terms.
• Compliance: meet legal and regulatory obligations and respond to lawful requests.

3) How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only as described below:

A. Service providers

We use vendors for hosting, analytics, customer support, communications (email/SMS/push), and security. They process information on our behalf under confidentiality and security obligations.

B. With invited friends/family and at-home chefs/cooks (only at your direction)

If you invite a friend, family member, or at-home chef/cook, we may share the information you choose to share, which may include:

• meal plans and schedules,
• recipes and cooking instructions,
• grocery lists and ingredient quantities,
• dietary preferences, allergies/intolerances, and exclusions,
• targets (calorie, macro, micronutrient) if you enable sharing.

You control whether and what is shared, and you can remove access at any time.

C. Employer program reporting (important)

By default, Feedy shares only aggregated and/or de-identified reporting with your employer, such as:

• total enrollments and activation rates,
• feature engagement trends, and
• anonymized habit/usage trends.

We will not share your identifiable meal plans, grocery lists, targets (calorie/macro/micro), logs, or health/nutrition inputs with your employer unless:

• you explicitly consent (opt-in), or
• it is required by law.

D. Legal and protection

We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our agreements, to protect users and the public, or to investigate fraud/security issues.

E. Business transfers

If we undergo a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of all or part of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require appropriate protections and will notify you as required by applicable law.

4) Employer Programs: Your Employer vs. You

If you access Feedy through an employer-sponsored wellness program (an "Employer Program"), your employer may be the customer paying for or administering access to the Services. You remain the user of the Services and control your personal use of Feedy.

A. Roles and responsibilities

• Feedy's role: Feedy provides the app and Services to you and operates the Employer Program features as applicable.
• Employer's role: Your employer may administer eligibility and program enrollment (for example, determining who can access Feedy as a benefit).

Depending on the Employer Program structure and your jurisdiction, the employer and Feedy may have different legal roles (for example, "controller" and "processor"). Regardless of labels, we apply the sharing rules described in this Policy.

B. What your employer can see by default

By default, we provide your employer only aggregated and/or de-identified program reporting. Your employer does not receive your identifiable meal plans, grocery lists, targets, logs, or health/nutrition inputs by default.

C. Identifiable sharing requires opt-in

We will share information that can identify you with your employer only if:

• you explicitly opt in through an in-app consent flow that clearly describes what will be shared and for what purpose, or
• we are required to do so by law.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, and we will stop future sharing (subject to legal/operational requirements).

D. Participation is voluntary; no impact on employment

Participation in Feedy through an Employer Program is voluntary, and you can choose how you use the Services. Feedy is not responsible for employer decisions. We encourage employers to avoid using wellness data to make employment-related decisions. If you believe your employer has misused information, you may contact us at edward@askfeedy.com and we will review the request consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

5) Sensitive Personal Information

Nutrition and health-related information may be considered sensitive in many jurisdictions. This may include health conditions, lab values, medications, and other health-related inputs.

We use sensitive information primarily to provide personalization and safety checks you request (e.g., allergy avoidance) and to apply targets appropriately. We apply additional safeguards and limit internal access. Where required, we rely on your explicit consent to collect or process sensitive information.

6) Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed for:

• providing and improving the Services,
• maintaining security and preventing abuse,
• complying with legal/accounting obligations.

You may request deletion (see "Your Rights"). Some information may be retained if necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

7) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, such as encryption, access controls, and monitoring. No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8) Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, withdraw consent, object/restrict processing, and request portability (where applicable).

You can also:

• adjust notification preferences in the app,
• disable location permissions in device settings (if used),
• opt out of marketing communications (service messages may still be sent),
• invite or remove friends/family/chef/cook collaborators and choose what data is shared,
• create, edit, or delete family member profiles (subject to retention/legal requirements).

9) Cookies and Similar Technologies (Web Only)

If you use our website, we may use cookies and similar technologies for login/session management, preferences, analytics, and security. You can control cookies through browser settings.

10) Children's Privacy

Feedy is not intended for children under 18 unless used by a parent/guardian creating a family profile. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without required parental consent where applicable. If you believe a child has provided data in a way that violates applicable law, contact us to request deletion.

11) International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own depending on vendor locations. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

12) Third-Party Links

If the Services link to third-party sites or services, their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party practices.

13) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app and/or email and reflected in the "Last updated" date.
